Amy is a graduate of The University of Iowa with a degree in communcation studies. She focused her internships in areas of party planning, helping to set up a "battle of the bands" fundraiser and working marketing for a Renaissance festival.

She lives with her husband and infant son in the midwest. In her spare time, Amy enjoys taking photos of her son, light scrapbooking, and walking.
